Invitation to KTH Railway Group’s spring seminar 2026

Published Mar 31, 2026

Digitalised railways - the cyber physical as the new normal.

Presentations Spring Seminar 2026

We are pleased to invite you to a seminar focusing on the railway sector’s increasing reliance on digitalisation and data management. The seminar will be held in English.

Railways are no longer just physical systems, but are becoming integrated digital and physical systems. This integration is now standard rather than exceptional. How can data collection and analysis enable new approaches to managing rolling stock and infrastructure? From sensor technologies and monitoring systems to advanced analytics and decision support tools, what are the opportunities, and what challenges remain? The seminar highlights the need for collaboration across the sector to ensure safe, secure, and sustainable data handling. Through the expert presentations, we explore how digital tools can create real value for railways.

Date and time: Thursday May 21, 2026, at 1 pm to 5 pm

Location: Auditorium K1, Teknikringen 56, KTH, Stockholm.

Where is it located?  maps.app.goo.gl/Y6p8XqVNCz5KRYWF8
